Meet Rein Undheim

Rein Undheim, software developer for Stacc’s UX team, has always had an interest for how the human minds works. Combined with his life-long passion for IT, he co-creates the code behind our user-centric products.

With a degree in cognitive science, a multidisciplinary and experimental study of the ways humans and machines process information, Rein has a deep understanding of how individuals use technology.

Coding for great user experiences is not only about the placement of a button, it’s thinking like the end-user in every step. From start to finish.

In Stacc, Rein has a diverse work life. Back and front-end development, customer meetings, user groups, testing and strategy are all big parts of his job. Being able to participate in the different phases of a project, gives him a holistic overview over the customers’ needs and the market.

The UX team must be agile and quick to be able to implement changes as fast as possible for the customers who need immediate results. Close cooperation and iteration ensures the effectiveness of the team.

Rein describes Stacc as a company with the size and knowledge of an international competitor, but with the culture of a start-up:

Stacc is a very transparent organisation. We work across products, departments and levels to create the best possible solutions for our customers

The future of fintech?

Rein says the future of fintech must involve less friction for the end-users of financial technology. The focus is already there, but in his words:

Only world class UX is good enough
